Corned Beef Toufayan Wrap

I made this with the low carb wrap, http://www.toufayan.com/Products/product-wraps.php . This was very simple: I just heated up the corned beef, placed in wrap with some cheese and Gulden's Spicy Brown Mustard (@conagrafoods), and then heated up the wrap in the pan. The result was a delicious lunch!

Just Raised the Bar on the KFC Double Down

Yeah...I did it! Wanted to get it with no cheese and bacon, but add lettuce and tomato. Well, they don't have tomato at KFC so I just went with cheese and lettuce and eliminated the bacon. When I got back to the house I then added 2 sandwich cut kosher dill pickle slices. This just took the KFC Double Down to a whole new level and one that can still be improved on. The next round will include tomato and will eliminate the cheese. Overall, it was pretty good but messy and salty. The chicken broke apart pretty easily and the paper wrapper really doesn't help hold things together...especially when the cheese was all gooey.

The Original Pancake House...

First time we ever went here, even though it is literally around the corner from our house. I got the Cin-n-Raisin pancakes and these were pretty tasty, but nothing I would have to rush back for. My wife and mother-in-law split a spinach omelette. This thing was massive and they enjoyed it.

Leopold's Ice Cream....

This place is a Savannah institution, dating back to 1919. This is an old fashioned Ice Cream Shop and they make every single one of their flavors on-site. Tonight I got the Peanut Butter Chippy with hot fudge. This is peanut butter flavored ice cream with pieces of chocolate mixed in. First time I have tried this and it was outstanding.

The shop itself has a lot of history behind it and inside of it as well. The owner is a movie producer and has memorabilia throughout the restaurant from the various movies he has been a part of. These range from Mission Impossible to The Sum of All Fears and many movies filmed in Savannah.

Screamin Mimi's Pizza...

This place advertises that they are the best pizza in Savannah. We went there for the first time tonight and I gotta say...it was pretty damn good. The slices are HUGE and everything is fresh. http://screaminmimispizza.com/

AJ's Dockside in Tybee Island

We decided to head over to Tybee for my birthday dinner tonight. We have heard good things about this place and thought tonight was the perfect opportunity to try it out. The view was amazing and the sun set right in front of us. Perfect way to wind down my birthday. As for the food...Sure, I could have went the with the scored flounder or the blackened Mahi Mahi. But I instead went the conch fritters, fried mushrooms, crab legs and crown & ginger route. This was all topped off with a slice of triple chocolate moose pie. They didn't have any birthday cake on had, so this had to do. Gotta say...it was pretty tasty!

Grouchy's Deli-Peachtree Corners

Neat place-my first time. A little expensive but that isn't unusual for the area. Not stingy with the meat on my "Fiery Roast Beef" on a Hoagy roll. Very generous with the horseradish, not for the timid. Best thing was that little marinated salad-very tasty.

Was Special K running a contest & didn't tell anyone?

You know...find the rare black Special K flake and you win a million dollars or a trip around the world with a bevy of cash prizes. Not only did I find 1 in my box of Special K...I FOUND 2! Who's the big winner? Who? Yeah...that's right...there is no contest and I didn't win anything. However, I did lose my appetite when I saw these things. I guess that counts for something.

Welcome to Moe's...

Tried the new Pulled Pork Bowl tonight. It is pretty much everything you would get in a burrito, but just in a bowl. This was rice, pulled pork, black beans, queso, pico de gallo, grilled onions, cheese, jalapeno's, and I topped it off with Moe's new corn salsa. Gotta say, this was pretty good and I would eat it again.

Bridal Luncheon

Bridal luncheon held at Scott's on the Square in Gainesville, GA.

The luncheon began with a fruit & cheese platter and cocktails. This was followed by lunch, dessert and a champagne toast.

Maryland Style Crab Cake Melt:
Jumbo lump crab cakes pan sautéed and topped with remoulade sauce tomato & cheddar cheese on a fresh English muffin. Served with a small Classic Caesar Salad.

Crème Brûlée Cheesecake:

Saturday night. Sushi night.

This week's super carb meal was sushi. Started things off with cucumber salad. I could probably just eat a massive one of these and go home happy. next we did yellow tail, tuna and salmon and a couple custom rolls. The sushi guy wanted us to try the conch he recently steamed so we got to try some of that too.

Steak and Eggs

Made steak and eggs with my leftover sirloin after Krav yesterday.

Steaks and Asparagus

Meat good. Had some steaks Friday night. I had a sirloin. wife had a pinwheel flank steak with provolone and spinach in it. roasted asparagus and cucumber/tomato salad as a side.

Lemon-Berry Real Fruit Slushy from Sonic...

First time having one of these and I got to say, IT ROCKED! Real pieces of fruit mixed in with the traditional slushy.

Chicken Pot Pie from Cheddar's Casual Cafe...

A little over cooked, but still tasty. Cheddar's is good because it isn't expensive, but you get a lot. High return on the investment is a good thing! BTW, we didn't get them today...but their onion rings are some of the best ever. The meal also came with a side salad.

Lunch at Fat Matt's Rib Shack

Hadn't eaten here in a few years..always got the ribs in the past which were good..today I had the chicken which is pretty good as well. The line to order is slow, but once you order and grab a seat the food gets to you quickly. Brunswick Stew was tasty but a little thick for my tastes..the coleslaw is absolutely horrible-I had one bite. Seems like there is a group of well known and decent bbq joints (Fat Matt's, Williamson Bros. etc) around Atlanta that are content with the status quo..which right now is lagging well behind Fox Bros. in quality and quantity but charging the same prices.

Standing Shrimp Cocktail

Standing Shrimp Cocktail from Scott's on the Square in Gainesvile, GA.

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always incredible and the staff is beyond amazing!

Carraba's Spice Mix for oil & bread...It is mine now!

Not only did I get their recipe down, but I think my mixture was actually better.
