Buffalo Chicken in a Spinach Wrap

Grilled chicken with buffalo sauce in a spinach wrap. BBQ chips and diet coke on the side. It is my "go-to" lunch in the cafe downstairs when I don't bring mine and I don't feel like getting in the car.

Mexican Lasagna = Delicious

My wife made this up. It has layers of tortillas, ground beef, refried beans, rotel and lots of cheese. Sour cream on top and some avocado on the side.

Hanukkah Lunchinner with my family...

Today we celebrated Hanukkah within my family. We cooked the traditional potato pancakes, latkes, and made some reubens and homemade vege-beef soup as the main courses. As tradition with the latkes we ate them with sour cream and apple sauce.

Longhorn's for dinner tonight...

Nothing special. We did try the new homemade chips with bbq dipping sauce and it was excellent. Ended up getting chicken fingers with a sweet potato and cole slaw, which I split with my son. Also, the BBQ dipping sauce was so good, we ended up bypassing the honey mustard for this stuff with the chicken fingers.

Sushi dinner

Started out with cucumber salad

Then on to the first round

And the second round

Healthy Choice lunch....

I forgot to take a picture of my lunch, but this is what I had. I must say that I highly recommend these new Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers. Out of all the versions out there, the Asian inspired ones rock. All the other types...not so much. The 2 best meals are this one and the General Tso's Spicy Chicken. You can view the full line of steamers here, http://www.healthychoice.com/frozen-meals/cafe-steamers.html, or look for them in the frozen food section of your local grocery store.

Fritos with Crock Pot Cheese/Rotel/Chili Dip

Today's contribution from the coworkers is a good one. Dip made with Velveeta, Rotel, and Hormel Chili without Beans. I could make a meal out of that stuff. And I did, lunch.

Breakfast...A lesson in dedication to ones craft

Back went out this morning...can hardly walk, let alone stand up. Home alone...starving. So what is one to do? Strap the ice pack to my lower back, pull out the Vidalia Onion Chopper, and dice up some onion and tomato. Next, grab the eggs and feta out of the fridge. Then, I attempted to make a signature omelette. Usually they are better looking than this, but this was really the best I could do given the pain level I am currently in. Finally, some fresh scallions and cracked pepper to top this baby off and it was ready for consumption. I must say, it was very tasty. I chased it down with a tall glass of OJ and 2 advil.

Egg on Foodista

Spaghettini carbonara from Parma for dinner last night

Sorry about the low lighting, the lighting was low in the restaurant. Not pictured: Fat Tire on draft and Brooklyn Brewery Monster Ale (10.1% !!!)

Cheese bagel with bacon and cheese

I have been eating healthier lately (or at least eating less poorly) but I needed some substantial food in my stomach this morning. I went with my old favorite from the little cafe in the lobby of my office building. It's a cheese bagel with bacon and cheese. They let Raoul go, and since he's not cooking any more they don't put as much bacon on it as they used to. It's a little dry, so I add a bit of mayo to it. Bacon and cheese are two of my favorite foods.

Tonight's Dinner....

We were out running errands and just decided to grab a quick bite at Panera. I went for the 1/2 soup - 1/2 sandwich combo. I went with the smoked turkey and the french onion soup. In the background you can see the turkey and cheese kids sandwich that my son was eating and the sweet tea that I was drinking.

Lunch

Chili from a jar. Hormel Select or something like that. It is the chipotle chicken variety, and it tastes better than it looks.

A co-worker had brought in a pecan pie his wife made. It was a little runny, but it tasted great.

5 guys burger and fries while the car got an oil change and wash

The fattening continues

I’m not sure if it’s too early to break the rules or not but whatever. I didn’t actually JUST eat this, this is some stuff my wife made for my office today. I ate a half a piece of pizza for breakfast since I’m out of eggs but chances are at some point in the day I will have just eaten one of these things.

1.       Pretzels covered in chocolate and rolled in one of the following: Butterfinger, Snickers, Heath, sprinkles, white chocolate or nothing

2.
      Peppermint bark

3.       Thumbprint cookies with strawberry jelly. Covered in powdered sugar.

Special K Protein Meal Bar

These things aren't all that bad. Fills me up enough to last til lunch time. Only 170 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, and 10 grams of protein.

Not as good as Waffle House though.

'meh'nday lunch wrap up

southwest turkey wrap from a place by the office. Turkey, lettuce, avocado and wrap. I guess the avocado qualifies this as authentico southwest cuisine. I added hot sauce when I got back to the office and washed it down with some water out of a clear plastic cup.

Let's get this thing started

Let's start with the plate of store bought Christmas cookies and the homemade fruit salad somebody brought in to the office today. Cookies are terrible (I know because I've had four so far), but the fruit salad is good.
