Grilled Chicken with Mango Ketchup (?)....Yes, mango ketchup

Click on the pics to see the right side.

Grilled chicken with corn on the cob, simple salad with Italian dressing, cantalope, and the clincher - mango ketchup direct from the Virgin Islands. Sounded a little gross but it was better than I thought it would be. Can now safely give the other bottles I bought for gifts to the intended recipients!

Pic of the bottle up top.

Best Pulled Pork in Savannah!

It just doesn't get any better than The Smoke Station when it comes to pulled pork. Tonight I got the pulled pork plate with potato salad and green beans. In what is no competition, Shane's Rib Shack opened not even 30 yards from The Smoke Station. When it comes to real BBQ you go to The Smoke Station. When you want fast food dog food from a can, you go to Shane's.

Bagels & More in Mountain Park

I live near the little crossroads of Mountain Park in Gwinnett..a surprising number of eating establishments seem to thrive in Mountain Park. Today I had to drive over there to drop off a chainsaw for service right around lunch time-so I went over to Bagels & More New York Deli next door for lunch. Pictured is the Ham & Provolone Special-They have awesome bread.

Mahi Mahi sandwich aboard the Willy T

This is a mahi mahi sandwich served aboard the William Thornton on Monday. The Willy T, as it is better known, is a ship that is permanently moored in the Bight off of Norman Island in the British Virgin Islands. I vaguely remember eating it because it was already noon and I was hammered by then. Moments after finishing this I jumped off the top of the boat into the water.

If you want some entertainment, do a google image search for the Willy T with safe search turned off. NSFW.

This is tagged USVI, but it is actually in the British Virgin Islands. Norman Island to be specific.

Hot Dog, Beans, & Easy Mac...

Kid wanted a hot dog and Mac-n-cheese for dinner, so I went with it as well. Grilled a Hebrew National all beef hot dog and put on it some spicy brown mustard, kraut, and just a sprinkling of relish. Kicked up some baked beans to round out the dish and topped it all off with Blue Moon.

Cafe Brasil in Dallas TX

From Cafe Brasil in Dallas TX. A grilled cheese sandwich. American, Cheddar, and Feta cheese. With a slice of avacado as well. Sweet potato fries....
And for dessert. Carmel Apple Pie. (split with 3 people) I'm not that fat.

Breakfast buffet at Caneel Bay

This is from the breakfast buffet at Caneel Bay resort on St. John. Click on the picture to see it all.

In the foreground is French toast, bacon, and pineapple, with an orange juice/pineapple juice mix to drink.

Over to the left we have bacon, sausage links, kiwi, cantalope, pineapple, zucchini bread, and cottage fries. To drink is a mango/pineapple juice mixture.

We had multiple plates each morning, but this is representative. The cost of this meal is $73.16 including tip, but I didn't pay. Thank God.

That water is Caneel Bay. You can see St. Thomas in the distance.

Costanzo's Pizza by the Slice

This is the best pizza by the slice in Savannah. Sweet Melissa's downtown is pretty good as well, but this is our favorite.

Jerk Chicken and Caribbean Rice

Took some organic chicken cutlets and cut them up into bite sized pieces. Seasoned some flour with jerk seasoning and then lightly coated the chicken pieces in the mixture. The chicken was then browned and set aside while I deglazed the pan and started to cook the rice (Zataran's Caribbean Rice). When the water came to a boil, the chicken was placed back into the pan and 25 min later you have instant meal in one dish.

Italian Grilled Cheese

Mozzarella Cheese, Vine Ripe Tomato, Fresh Basil, Oregeno, Garlic Powder, and some buttered bread.

I just ate too much..

This was just my first plate at a family birthday gathering today...Brunswick Stew, BBQ chicken, Sweet Potato Fries, Broccoli Rice Casserole, Mexican Casserole, Chicken Tetrazinni, Bacon & Tomato/Potato Salad and Pulled Pork.

"World Famous" Green Jacket Salad...

The old Green Jacket restaurant in Augusta was World Famous for not only being a damn good joint across the street from The Augusta National's front gate. It was world famous for their house salad dressing and the Green Jacket Salad. This dressing includes tomatoes and scallions and is spooned over the lettuce. I also made some garlic pita croutons and then topped off the salad with some salmon. The croutons are cooked in a pan with some olive oil and then baked in the oven to get extra crispy.
