Brown Mustard Pork Chops, Brussel Sprouts and Mashed Sweet Potatoes

I don't know where my wife got the idea, maybe Food Network or maybe just out of nowhere, but she makes this awesome brown mustard glaze(?) for pork chops. It smells ridiculously good when she's cooking them up and the flavor is very complementary to pork chops. She's been doing those for a while but this was a first for us: mashed sweet potatoes. We didn't want to wait for them to bake, so she chopped  em, boiled em and smashed em. I've just come around on sweet potatoes in the past couple years and I'm glad I did because they are freaking awesome.

Mojo Glazed Pork Tenderloin w/ Grilled Sweet Potatoes

This was my game night meal for the Dolphins-Jets game tonight. The pork was marinated in Nellie & Joe's Mojo Criollo. This is a much different taste than their Key West Cuban Style Marinade, but is every bit as good. The pork was grilled and then basted with the rest of the marinade that wasn't used before. As for the potatoes, they were boiled until almost fork tender. I then quartered the potato and brushed on some melted butter mixed with cin-sugar. Grill on both sides and brush again with the butter mixture before moving to the top rack to cook the rest of the way though. These were as perfect as I could have ever expected and came right out their skin.

Meatloaf Dinner at Sweet Potatoes in Savannah

Their meatloaf is one of their everyday menu items and it is covered in a Sweet Potato Glaze. The creamed sweet peas are amazing, but they aren't always on the menu. It is one of those things that you just have to catch them on the right day and you never know when that day is. The other side was just some green beans cooked in bacon. Sure, the meatloaf looks like a giant mess...it is a giant hot mess and soooooooo good.

burger corn sweet potato fries

Wife made a nice lil dinner few nights ago. These were some local grass fed burgers we tried our hardest to ruin by putting them on shitty tasting buns. (I had one sans bun for lunch the next day and it had way more swagger).

sorta disclaimer: this is actually my wifes plate. She was impressed with how it looked so she pic'd it. I didn't have any corn because I could take or leave corn unless it's some fire roasted stuff or rolled in mayo and whatever the hell else mexicans roll their corn in.

Grilled Pork Loin Chops w/ Sweet Potato

Nothing that fancy...but perfectly cooked and very tasty! Once again, a little olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and Chicago Steak seasoning were rubbed into the center cut pork loin chops and the sweet potato was topped with a little butter and brown sugar.
